It is very important to use an Ea oil filter when using AMSOIL Signature Series or XL oils.This ensures engine protection for the extended intervals between oil changes. The oil filter used must be rated for the same number of miles the oil is rated for. This means that if you use a “standard” oil filter, you must change the oil filter before the oil even needs changed. Remember that your AMSOIL synthetic oil is only as good as the oil filter!

Ea15k AMSOIL oil filters are smaller in physical size because the original automobile manufacturer designed the oil filter smaller. Smaller oil filters have been the trend in the auto market and it is important to understand which oil filter you are installing. Ea15k filters have a usable life of 15,000 miles or one year. This means that a “Signature Series” user will need to change the filter after 15,000 miles even though the oil has a life rated at 25,000 miles.
